About Me

I'm Cassidy Rose; I'm 18, and this blog is an attempt to make sense of the wild yearnings of my heart. I love to sing, read, run, and have deep conversations about life and faith. I love my Colorado mountains and San Diego beaches, as well as Anberlin, typewriters, and cereal.

I am a firm believer in miracles. One of my favorite miracle stories is the Virgin of Guadalupe. Mary appeared to Juan Diego, a completely ordinary Mexican man who was fighting anxiety and trying to figure out the world. His uncle was dying, and he was one of the few Christians living in his area. Mary appeared and told him that he needed to tell the bishop to build a church. To prove this was true, she left him fresh, vibrant red roses in the middle of winter.

Like roses in winter, we are miracles and can endure the brutal cold of living in a broken world.

I'm praying for you, dear readers. Thank you so much for spending your time with me. You are the most beautiful rose in winter.

My lovely mom, Amy, drew the typewriter for me. She's an amazing artist and illustrator; lucky for me my childhood has been filled with fun art projects and more craft supplies than I can count :)
